Maybe some of us ask why there are so many great engineers and programmers who come from India? Isn't India a developing country like Indonesia? Seeing this question, it reminds me when listening to Helmi Yahya's podcast with Gita Wirjawan, where in the podcast, one of the discussions is about the many Indians who are great in engineering and programming.
Population Scale Indiaa has the second largest population in the world after China, which is 1.3 billion people. If we suppose that 1% of the population in India are great engineers and programmers then the number is 13 million people.
And when compared to other parables 1% of the total population of Indonesia are great engineers and programmers, of course they will not compete with India.
It is undeniable that Indians have dominated the IT field. In fact, many Indians have become CEOs of large companies owned by the United States. Well, here are some great engineering and programming engineers who came from India.

1.Satya Nadella
Satya Nadella is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive (CEO) of Microsoft, replacing Steve Ballmer in 2014.
Prior to becoming CEO, he was executive vice president of Microsoft's corporate and cloud group, responsible for building and running the company's computing platforms. Since Nadella became CEO, Microsoft's stock has tripled in September 2018, with an annual growth rate of 27%.
2.Sundar Pichai
Pichai Sundarajan or better known as Sundar Pichai is Google's Chief Executiff Officer (CEO). Pichai received his bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute Of Technology Kharagpur and he was awarded the Institute Silver Medal.
Then he also obtained an M.S. from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Pichai then joined Google in 2004, and has served as the lead in product management and software innovation for Google's clients, including Google Chrome, Chrome OS and Google Drive.
He is also responsible for developing applications such as Gmail and Google Maps. Pichai also developed the VP8 video codec, and introduced the WebM video format.
3.Shantanu Narayen
Shantanu Narayen is an Indian-American business executive. He is also chairman, president, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adobe inc.
Previously, he was president and Chief Operating Officer since 2005. In November 2007, Adobe Inc. announced that Bruce Chizen will step down as CEO effective December 1, to be replaced by Narayen.
Narayen is paid an annual salary of $ 151.2 million for his role as chief executive. He received a total remuneration of $ 15.7 million in 2013. In 2011, Barack Obama appointed him a member of the Management Advisory Board.
As CEO, Narayen is leading the company's transformation, moving creative and digital document software franchises - which include flagship programs like Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Acrobat / PDF - from the desktop to the cloud.
4.Arvind Krishna
Arvind Krishna is an Indian-American business executive. He has been CEO of IBM since April 2020. Krishna started his career at IBM in 1990, and was promoted to senior vice president in 2015.
He was appointed CEO of IBM in January 2020, effective April 6, 2020, replacing Ginny Rometty, who has been CEO since 2012. He joins Satya Shantanu Narayen and Sundar Pichai as CEO India of a major US technology company.
